Chef PriaVanda created their NYC restaurants  in 2012 to satisfy the Desi hankering for Indian soul food. Survived Hurricane Sandy and now survived Covid. Chef came up with the idea when she wanted yeast to make focaccia bread and had to wait 2 hours at a local grocery store. Unfortunately, she couldn't wait cause she was working long hours and was exhausted. Then thought about all the other essential workers and how they were managing during the pandemic. She immediately decided to sell whatever ingredients kept in stock and the inventory list keeps growing. 

"Bhel puri is a street food staple. One of my favorite memories of visiting India as a child was eating bhel puri which was then served in newspaper cones. This festive dish is made with puffed rice and has a crunchy, spicy, tangy taste.
